I'm hosting the challenges over at Lasting Memories this month and chose the theme of "We Go Together" in honor of Valentine's Day. Today's challenge is to create a layout and a card using the same products (or two layouts if cards aren't your thing). I decided to scrapbook a graduation layout and create a congratulations card using pretty much the same supplies, which was handy since I didn't even have to pull any other products out. If you would like to join in on the fun, pop on over to Lasting Memories before the end of the month to enter this or any of our other February challenges!
Here's my layout:
And here's my coordinating card:
Recipe:
AP Tags & Happy Everything stamp sets
Color Kaleidoscope paper (American Crafts)
Kraft, Black, Topiary, Canary & White Daisy cardstock Black & Desert Sand ink
Creme Brulee baker's twine
3-D foam tape
Corner rounder
Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge: scalloped border, scalloped circle, tab
Cricut Artistry cartridge: balloons
Cricut You Are Here cartridge: graduation cap
Cricut Artiste cartridge: title
Stitched circle steel die
Pattern for the card: Try a Sketch on Tuesday # 640
Challenges: Festive Friday #152 - for my layout, I used twine, interactive (the framed picture is a pocket to hold another photos and my journaling card), people, outdoors, and balloons.

Love the background of your card - great use of an open circle. Thanks for sharing with us at TSOT :)
What a great page and I love the matching card. The green and yellow balloons pick up the green on the graduation gown and cap. So glad you shared this with us at Festive Friday this week

Cheryl, love how you created a pocket as part of your scrapbook page to pop out with more journaling and another picture. So very creative! Having the coordinating card with the picture is awesome too! Thanks for joining us at Festive Friday Challenge. :)
Fun congrats card. I really like your decision to use an open circle so that we can see more of the great patterned paper. Thanks for joining us at Try A Sketch on Tuesday.

How cool to do a scrapbook page on graduation and then turn around with the same papers to do a card using the TSOT sketch. Love your memory page and card... thanks for sharing with us at TSOT.
Cheryl, what a great idea to pair up a card and scrapbook layout for the special grad! So clever to use the cut out ring for the circle element so that your lovely papers aren't hidden! Thank you for sharing your scrapbook page and card with us at TSOT!!! -Donna
