Let's Go for a Walk Layout

For this layout for my son's school album, I pulled out an old paper pack that I only have scraps of left. I wanted to  match the grey in them but had very little of that cardstock left, so I improvised by brayering ink onto white cardstock. I actually love the texture it added, so it was a win! The title was inspired by a children's book of the same name, and I also used the wavy journaling because that is is in the book. For the die-cut tennis shoes on the left page, I kept finding shoe soles in Cricut Design Space that were the reverse of what I have there, but I didn't want to glue all those tiny pieces on a layout, so I used the slice function on a oval to get the outline, then trimmed some excess cardstock off with scissors. I probably could have gotten a perfect outline eventually on the Cricut, but sometimes it's just easier to do it by hand the old fashion way!

I forgot to add the date and don't want to scan this again, so for my reference, this event took place on 4/22/15.
