One Fine Day in La Verne Layout

I had lived in Southern California almost my entire life when these photos were taken, and I had never seen an icon for snow in the weather app, so this was an exciting moment! I forgot to write about it in my journaling, but one weird thing about this weather was that when I went outside and looked left, the skies were bright blue with fluffy clouds, while looking to the right I only saw grey, dark skies. Hard to believe the two vertical photos below were taken within seconds of each other.

The sparkles and Stickles are hard to see in my scan, so I took some photos with my photo to try to show them off more. Not sure if that's any better, but I tried!

Here's my journaling card that will go in the facing pocket page with five more photos.

Today Was a Good Day Layout

I'm finally getting back to the photos from the beach camping trip my sons and hubby went on with the church youth group, and these are the last ones. Since I am not a lover of sand or the beach, it was much more fun to scrap these summer-themed photos than it would be for me to go to the beach!

Recipe:
You Are Here & It's Your Day stamp sets
Hopscotch papers & PML card
Almond & White Daisy cardstock
Lagoon, Sunset, Flaxen & Honey ink
Ocean marker
Hopscotch sticker
Beach Party rubber shape
Magic Mesh (Creative Imaginations)
Cricut You Are here cartridge: geo-tag, shirt
Pattern: Sketch-n-Scrap #317 - I pieced together the smaller orange and circles patterned paper scraps to make the piece that is orange in the sketch.

Challenges: Little Red Wagon #810 See Through It - I used some Magic Mesh that I had in my stash in two places on my page!
