Yesterday Layout

I use stamping a lot in my scrapbooking, so I tend to forget that CTMH also carries wonderful lines of stickers that coordinate with their paper packs. Although the That's Amore paper pack is long discontinued, the coordinating stickers are still as sticky as ever and were the perfect complement to my pictures!

Yummy Treat Layout

The Color My Heart Color Dare for the week was to use Sky, Blush, and Buttercup on our artwork. I thought it would be a fun color scheme for my ice cream photos. Just an FYI: CTMH's burlap ribbon looks great on almost any project, and isn't it the perfect texture for a waffle cone?

Monkey Card

The theme for the baby shower I'm going to this afternoon is jungle, so I decided to put together a jungle card. I started with the emerging colors technique to stamp the background, and then layered papers until I got the look I wanted. The monkey wasn't quite working for me until I dug through my box of scraps and found a left-over vine from one of my workshops. Ta-da, monkey swinging from a vine. Love it!

SCS Variety Challenge 185 - At the Falls

It's the second Wednesday of the month, so time for another Variety Challenge for Splitcoast Stampers. This challenge uses a really fun technique, so hopefully you'll have time to play along! Just click on the link below to go to the challenge page on SCS.

SBVC185 - Emerging Colors
Create your own background paper using the emerging colors technique found here: Emerging Colors. Then use the paper as either the background of your layout, or cut it up and use it in some way on your layout.

For my layout, I created the floral paper using this technique, and I love it. Just wish I had made the piece bigger so more of it would show!
