Wild Thing Layout

I haven't posted many layouts this month, not because I haven't been scrapping, but because I've been trying to use up my non-CTMH supplies, and I post all my non-CTMH layout on my Splitcoast Stampers gallery. If you want to see more layouts for this month, feel free to check it out. Here's a new layout using my CTMH stash, and I really raided my embellishment box for this one! I can't decide what my favorite part of the layout is (beside the cute pictures of my son and his kitty cat): the stamped lion, the buttons, the ribbon, the title. This is one of those layouts that I am really happy with. Hope you enjoy it, too.

Happy Hunting Layout

I have had a layout sitting on my desk for a week, and I could not finish it! Something about it just wasn't right. This afternoon, I finally decided to rip it apart and start over. I used a Becky Higgins' sketch to re-create the left page. I'm still not loving it, but at least it is done and ready to go in my scrapbook. It's been a bit disappointing not to have anything to scan, because I am so excited about the new scanner I got for Mother's Day. Since I did the LOAD challenge in January, I've been wanting a scanner that could scan a whole 12"x12" page in one pass, and my hubby found one that didn't cost the earth. Love that man! I was able to scan this double page spread in two passes, and then I simply stitched it together and it was ready to go. Cool, huh?

Selling my stash of Stampin' Up stamps!

Happy Monday to all, and I hope you all had a great Mother's Day yesterday, either celebrating being a mom or celebrating your own mom. I received a wonderful present for Mother's Day, but I am keeping it a secret until I have a chance to use it. Then I will show it off to y'all! My main reason for posting today is to let everyone know that I am selling my stash of Stampin' Up stamps. Since I became a CTMH consultant, I seldom use my SU stamps, so I decided it was time for them to find a new home where, hopefully, they will get used. Plus I need to make room for all my new CTMH products! Let me know if you are interested in a list. I will be selling them at a loss, since they are all used, but they are in excellent condition. All are mounted on wooden blocks, and have little to no staining on them. Please use the "contact me" link to e-mail me if you want more information.

Mother's Day Card

Let me start with a reminder that today is the National Day of Prayer. All of you who believe in the power of prayer, please lift our county up in prayer today, especially our leaders.

This week's Heart 2 Heart challenge was to create a Mother's Day card. Since I needed to do it anyway, this was easy! I used the Splendor paper pack again (loving these papers), and I kept the card pretty simple since I have to mail it. I did add some Liquid Glass to the center of the flower and the birds' eyes, so there is a little bit of dimension. My mom loves to sew, so I thought she would get a kick out of the faux stitches around the border of the card.

Remember, if you create a layout this week based on this sketch and post it online, leave me a comment on this post with a link to your layout, and I will give you a shout out on my blog this week. Also, if you are a card-maker and prefer to create a card using this sketch, I would love to see it. Happy scrapping or carding!

And we have a winner . . .

Two, actually! I think both Linda and Michelle are winners for completing this LOAD challenge. I can attest that it takes a lot of dedication to crank out 30 pages in 30 days, so I am really impressed that you both stuck with it and made it to the finish line. I did a random drawing and Michelle's name came up, so please contact me using the e-mail listed on this blog to let me know your shipping address and prize choice. You get to pick out a Level 2 paper packet and My Stickease, and I will have them sent them straight to your door. The new catalog just came out, so be sure to browse that for even more choices. Once again, thanks for participating in the challenge.
