Ivy Lane Cards Part 2

Finished up my cards for my Ivy Lane workshop, so I thought I'd share! For the butterfly on the first card, I stamped a butterfly on the cardstock square, then stamped it again on a cardstock scrap, cut it out, and sponged the edges with Desert Sand ink. I adhered it by the body but left the wings free, and then added some Stickles to the body. One cool thing I accomplished by doing it this way: I didn't have to cut out the antenna, since they were already on the cardstock square, so it saved me a lot of time and energy!

For this one, I got the placement of the flowers correct by stamping and cutting out the flower pots, laying them on the tag, and marking a light pencil line across the top of each. I then removed the pots and had a guideline for where to place the flowers!

Flowers Whisper Layout

Someone on Splitcoast Stampers asked a while ago if every scrapbook layout needs to be titled. Although I generally do title my layouts so people can see at a glance what the main "theme" is, I think sometimes it's okay to not do a title. In this case, since this is a continuation of my previous Yampa River Botanic Park trip, I just used a quote where I might normally have added a title or journaled a bit.

Moonlight Card 2

Another card from my Moonlight workshop. I'm having fun designing non-Halloween themed cards using a Halloween paper pack. I'm entering this card in the Little Red Wagon challenge to use a bow on our project. I may not have used a very big bow on this card, but multiply it by 32 cards (how many my ladies will end up making during the workshop), and I used up all this ribbon!

Planted with Love Layout

I was able to finish up quite a few challenges for National Scrapbooking Month. Here's the last of them,  finished right at the end on May 31st! Denise over at Let's Scrap gave us a photo she found on Pinterest to use as inspiration, and I lifted the color scheme and the tree. I used quite a few of the retired Mayberry papers, with a tiny bit of Dotty for You thrown in. All the hearts are punched, the tree was stamped, then cut out by hand, and the flower was paper pieced. Since I included branches, I'm also entering this layout in the Branching Out challenge from 4 Crafty Chicks!

Mother's Day Card

Let me start with a reminder that today is the National Day of Prayer. All of you who believe in the power of prayer, please lift our county up in prayer today, especially our leaders.

This week's Heart 2 Heart challenge was to create a Mother's Day card. Since I needed to do it anyway, this was easy! I used the Splendor paper pack again (loving these papers), and I kept the card pretty simple since I have to mail it. I did add some Liquid Glass to the center of the flower and the birds' eyes, so there is a little bit of dimension. My mom loves to sew, so I thought she would get a kick out of the faux stitches around the border of the card.
