5th Grade Graduation Layout for Lasting Memories #692

My goal for this month is to finish my oldest son's elementary school album, since he is already 22 and I should have done this years ago! Thanks to this week's Lasting Memories challenge, I was able to put another layout into his album. Sandy asked us to create a layout with at least four squares and a square shaker box. I pulled out an old sketch of mine that had lots of squares, and was able to fit the shaker box into one of the photo spaces. I love challenges that make me get creative and step outside of my comfort zone, so thanks to Sandy for her inspiration. We're playing with shapes the whole month of March at Lasting Memories and would love to have you join us!

Jubilee You're Great Card

Another Monday, and that means another challenge from Heart 2 Heart. I'm having lots of fun being their guest designer for the month, and I especially liked this week's So Studly challenge! We were asked to create a project for the stud in our life, using some of CTMH's Durables Studs in the process. I don't know if most people would count him a stud, but our neighborhood loves our school crossing guard, Mr. Jack. He's out there every day, rain or shine, making sure our kids get safely across a busy street and onto the school grounds. For his end of the year thank you card, I grabbed some Jubilee paper and a sketch from Sketch 'n Scrap and got to work. The round studs were a perfect addition to this card. Huntington Cards

I love holding card workshops, in part because it really makes me exercise my creativity! The Huntington workshop in particular made me think hard, since my workshop gals wanted non-seasonal cards and these papers have a definite fall flavor to them. Hope you like what I came up with!

For this one, I added some embossing using my Cuttlebug so that I could play along with the CAS-ual Fridays embossing challenge.

Moonlight Card 5

One more Moonlight card, and my workshop prep is almost done - woohoo! This card was a happy accident. I had tried using the pennant on another card, and it wasn't working. As I put it down on my desk, it ended up on top of a black scrap of cardstock and the green banner piece. I looked at it and decided to run with it.  Love it when that happens. The card background is actually a collage of stamps from different sets that I assembled on a block.

I have been trying to create a card with just black and orange all week so that I could play along with the Dynamic Duos color challenge.I do have a touch of green in there, but I'm going to enter it anyway, not because I think I'll win, but more for the fun of being able to say, "I did it!"

Moonlight Card 2

Another card from my Moonlight workshop. I'm having fun designing non-Halloween themed cards using a Halloween paper pack. I'm entering this card in the Little Red Wagon challenge to use a bow on our project. I may not have used a very big bow on this card, but multiply it by 32 cards (how many my ladies will end up making during the workshop), and I used up all this ribbon!
