I'm plowing through the layouts for the ABC album for my son's kindergarten teacher. Here's another one, using the May single-page sketch from Stick It Down. It was a lot of fun to work with the sketch, and I might save it to use later on a full size page!

ABC Album J & K Layouts
I embarked on an ambitious project this week: I am making an ABC album for my son's kindergarten teacher. She had a rough year with him because of some behavioral issues (his, not hers!), but she was wonderful with him and we saw lots of improvement, so this is my big thanks for her perseverance with him. It's quite a project so I'm creating layouts as inspiration strikes, which is why these are out of order.
For the J layout, I used sketch 200 from Sketches in Thyme. Since my layout was only 8" x 8", I went with a much larger picture than shown on the sketch, and I snuggled part of my title up against the photo since it wouldn't fit across the page.
For the K layout, I used the May 1st sketch from Stuck Sketches. In retrospect, I kinda wish I'd added an embossed pattern to the green pieces for extra interest, but once I glued everything down, I decided to just keep moving. After all, I have 24 more layouts to complete!

Getty Villa Layout
It's a busy time of year for me with a child graduating from 8th grade and another from 5th grade, plus end of year parties and planning for VBS at my church, but I managed to sit down today and finish this layout that's been languishing on my desk for a week! For the pattern, I used one of my sketches from Splitcoast Stampers, but I also scraplifted my layout by using some similar materials (like the Magic Mesh) and embellishments (butterflies, etc.). Fun to see how even a scraplift of one of my own layouts can turn out so different from the original!

What a Character Layout
My second Hollywood layout! For some reason it really flew together, possibly because of the great sketch from Sketch-n-Scrap that I used for the design. I substituted Picture My Life cards for the flowers on the sketch, and dug through my box of left over die-cuts until I found some shapes that worked for me, and then it was just a matter of adding embellishments and a title. Easy and fun!

Hollywood Layout
Hope everyone is having a nice weekend! I got to scrapbook, so it counts as a great one for me! Here's my latest layout, featuring photos from a trip to Hollywood. My hubby took a ton of pictures, so I decided to put most of them in a couple of photo storage pages, book-ended by two single page layouts. I started this layout with a sketch from Sketches in Thyme, which I flip-flopped. I also used different size photos than the original, but I think you'll be able to tell it's the same sketch.

Kid Fun Layout for National Scrapbook Day
Happy National Scrapbooking Day, everyone! Hope you all have time to sit down and preserve some memories today. I was able to sneak off to my scraproom in between other activities and create a layout based on my latest sketch for Splitcoast Stampers. I also played along with the NSD challenge from Scrap Our Stash, and it led me to try something new - stenciling. Easy and lots of fun, and I love the look it added to the layout.

Chargers Practice Layout
Any Chargers fans out there? My hubby comes from a family of die-hard Chargers fans, so he jumped at the chance to attend a practice down in San Diego. I'm not a big sports fan, but I did enjoy putting this page together. I used lots of Cricut cuts and a basic background to create the layout, and I even managed to get a little stamping in there. Go Chargers!
