Today is another Lasting Memories reveal day, and the challenge this week was to include three long and three short strips of paper on your layout. I was originally planning on using skinny strips of paper, but I saw the current sketch over at Sketch-n-Scrap and decided to go with some wider strips for my long pieces: one each on the top and bottom of the layout, and one under the photos. Really, this challenge could be used so many ways, so hopefully you will come join us to play along before the end of June.
The black cardstock with the photos on it is popped up using foam take so I could add a journaling pocket underneath. The journaling is all about how my adopted son, despite being in foster care, was able to overcome and learned to smile again. I decided not to post the actual journaling since it's kind of sensitive, but here is the other side of the card.
