EMS Sketch Challenge 95 + Autumn Blessings Layout

I usually try to post my sketch challenge early in the month, so I'm extremely late on this one, but better late than never, right? Actually, I started the sample layout several weeks ago and put it aside because my mojo just wasn't there, but this morning I was checking out some challenges and they got me totally inspired to finish; thanks to the wonderful crafters out in blogland who gave me the push I needed to get it done! As always, feel free to modify the sketch to suit your needs, and be sure to post a link to your completed layout in the comments section below so I can enjoy it.

Dance Layout

This layout was sitting unfinished in a pile near my scrap desk for several months. I knew it needed some finishing touches, but I couldn't quite figure out what they were until I saw Stacy's tic-tac-toe challenge and knew I had to add a cork title, wooden arrows, and heart brads to it. This immediately perked the layout up, and then some journaling helped finish the look. Thanks for rescuing this layout from scrappy oblivion with your fun challenge, Stacy!

Sparkle & Shine and Roxie papers

Slate & Black ink

Joy of Set 23 + Blue Angels Layout

I got to choose the items for the November Joy of Sets challenge board, so I got creative and picked items that start with the letters in November, plus I added the word thanks because, well, it's that time of year! Although I had originally planned to use some Thanksgiving photos, the ones I had printed up just weren't inspiring me, so I went in a totally different direction with these soccer photos from my daughter's team. The column with overlay, metal, and rub-on worked out very nicely. There's no journaling on the layout because I will be inserting a photo storage page between these two pages, and I chose to put the journaling in one of those pockets, but I added the journaling card below the layout. Adding digital journaling to a photo before I print it up is a technique I tend to forget about, but it is so easy and insures I don't neglect to share important details just because I'm feeling lazy!

Here's the card with the journaling:

And here's the grid. Play along with the challenge by create a layout or card using any row, column, or diagonal.

Floral Birthday Card

Just whipped up a birthday card for a friend, and played along with a few challenges for inspiration. The inside of the card has the continuation of the exterior sentiment: "THE CANDLES COST MORE THAN THE CAKE!" It always makes me laugh but I have to make sure to give it to someone who has a good sense of humor!
