O Come All Ye Faithful Layout

My last layout for 2023 is also the last layout I needed to complete for 2016! I started this layout in October but it was not working for me, so I put it aside and finally decided to finish it tonight. I fell ten short of my scrapping goal this year (only made it to 90) but am looking forward to a new year and hopefully more scrapping fun. Happy New Year, everyone!

Live + Laugh Layout for Lasting Memories #681

Good morning everyone, and welcome to my layout for this week's Lasting Memories challenge. This month's theme is the Design Team's Favorite challenges from 2023, and today we are revisiting a challenge from September 17 - Stash Busting: Layering - create a layout with lots and lots of layering, and use brads, buttons or bling, or even better all three if you can. I chose to use buttons with some photos of our family posing with the cardboard cut-outs at a Mexican restaurant. I took a risk with the color combo by using some colors that aren't found in my photos, so hopefully it came out okay. This is the last Lasting Memories challenge for December, so we would love to have you play along and  share your layout based on this and any other challenges from this month.

Mom Time Layout for Lasting Memories #679

This was supposed to be posted on Sunday, but our internet stopped working Saturday night and we just got it fixed. Oh well, better late than never, and I hope you still are inspired to play along with our latest challenge from Lasting Memories!

Good morning and happy first Sunday in December to all of you! Can you believe it’s only 21 days until Christmas? Where has this year gone? Speaking of years, over at Lasting Memories, the design team is looking back over some of our favorite challenges of the year. The first challenge revisits A Walk in the Park Day from March 26, and asked us to use at least one outdoor photo. I could have continued with my daughter’s cat party photos, but I was ready for a break, so I chose photos from an outdoor event at my kids’ school to celebrate Mother’s Day. We only have three challenges for December, so I hope you join us over at Lasting Memories and show us your work. Here’s my layout!

Grateful for Words - use one of the following journaling techniques on your layout: a list, 50+ words, on a journaling card, digital or hidden. I chose to go with a journaling card on this one, and after searching through my stash, I found one I thought went well with the layout. Hope you think so, too, and are inspired to hop on over to Lasting Memories to play along with any of our Scrappy Gratitude challenges before the clock runs out on Saturday, December 2!

Scoop the Poop Layout

For my daughter's cat themed birthday party, we came up with a variety of the games, including this one for the kids to scoop the poop (chocolate candies) out of the kitty litter (rice). To be honest, I probably found the idea on the internet, but the kids loved it, so thanks to whoever dreamed up the idea. I found a poop emoji on the internet and traced it to create a hand made embellishment to add to my layout.

EMS Sketch Challenge #111 - Everybody Wants to Be a Cat

I haven't posted a new sketch since May, but as I was working with one of my older sketches, it kept morphing until it didn't look that much like the original, so I decided to create a new sketch based on my layout! You won't need a ton of patterned paper for this one, but even with four photos there is room to get creative and have some fun. As always, feel free to change things up a bit and please post a link to your completed layouts in the comments so I can enjoy how you used the sketch.

Here's the sketch:

Scrapping photos from my daughter's cat themed birthday party has been a rather hodgepodge affair, so this layout actually goes before the one I posted on Sunday and after the one I posted in August. I think I am now in chronological order, though, so it's all good. The title for this layout was based on the song from the Aristocats, but I decided to keep the second "e" in "Ev'rybody" since it looked better on my layout. Anyway, here's my layout:

Recipe:
Stacy's Hand Alphabet stamp set
Chloe papers (Bella Blvd)
Toffee and Pear cardstock
Chocolate, Pear, Orange & Lagoon ink
Burnt Sienna fineliner pen (iBayam)
Chloe chipboard Icon stickers (Bella Blvd)
Chloe stickers (Bella Blvd)
Cat Lover stickers (Photoplay)
Orange embroidery floss
My Happy Place Shape Sprinkles (Doodlebug Designs)
Cats & Bats enamel dots
Cricut Artbooking cartridge: large heart
Challenges: Let's Craft and Create #201 Stitching; Scrap With Stacy November Tic-Tac-Toe (used the left column with stickers + ink + enamel shapes)

Posing Layout for Lasting Memories #676

Happy Sunday, everyone. It's time for another challenge over at Lasting Memories, and this time I asked everyone to show their appreciation for stamps and stickers by including two or more of either on a layout. I usually am all about the stamps, but I had purchased a cute cat themed kit for scrapping my daughter's cat birthday party, so I decided to use the stickers from that. Feel free to hop on over to Lasting Memories and join us for any of the November challenges before December 2!

Chloe papers (Bella Blvd)
Capri, Canary & White Daisy cardstock
Capri, Canary, Pixie & Whisper ink
