Together Layout for Lasting Memories #750

Good morning, and happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there. Hope your day is blessed and you get to spend some scrappy time in your crafting space today! It's time for another Lasting Memories Challenge, and this month's challenges are all tic-tac-toe boards. I love the challenge of finding that 3 in a row (or column or diagonal) that I can perfectly incorporate into my layout, don't you? This week, I chose the top row with lace, 3+ photos, and flowers, as I scrapped a time when we celebrated my hubby's birthday and Mother's Day at the same time. We would love to have you join us through the end of May with this or any of the other Lasting Memories tic-tac-toe challenges!

Here's my layout:

Shine Brightly Layout

I have been getting into a habit of scrapbooking on one page all the miscellaneous photos from a particular month that don't fit into any larger events, so here are a few from May 2018. Of course, since the top left photo shows my son at a Star Wars movie, I had to play along with a couple of Star Wars challenges for Star Wars Day (May the 4th).

Recipe:
Watercolor paper (Recollections)
You Rock papers
Bold & Bright - Daily Reminder paper (American Crafts)
Black cardstock
Vellum
Smokey Plum, Indian Corn Blue, Pear & Goldrush ink
Dutch Blue re-inker
Watercolor paints (Artist's Loft)
Opaque Matte Texture Paste (Ranger)
Lumberjack Plaid Distress Spritz ((Ranger)
Starry Night Stencil (Simple Stories)
Pattern: Splitcoast Stampers Sketch15Dec1

Challenges: Park Hopping My Happy Place May Challenge - I was inspired by the Star Wars theme and used the soft shade of red in the photo, plus some glittery spray inspired by the red light saber.

Quakes Game 2018 Layout

We went to a baseball game for a local minor league team, the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, with a group of people from our church. I'm not really into baseball, but it was fun hanging out and occasionally paying attention to the game. The green/blue color scheme for this layout came together really easily, and I decided there were enough other colors in the photos to keep it form looking boring. Hopefully I made the right choice!

Recipe:
Vicki Boutin Mixed Media Collection (American Crafts)
Summer Stack paper (DCWV)
Ethan Large Stripe paper (MM)
Green patterned paper (from my stash, source unknown)
Dutch Blue, Topiary & White Daisy cardstock
Dutch Blue, Topiary & Olive ink
White gel pen (Sakura)
ShinHan Touch Twin markers
Olive grosgrain ribbon (Michaels)
Blue Adornaments fibers (EK Success)
Active-Nation Baseball bubble stickers (C.R. Gibson)
Green Fields enamel dots (Altenew)
Cricut Design Space: baseball
Cricut Artist cartridge: title
Pattern: EMS Sketch Challenge #74

Challenges: Double D Challenges Designer Paper - I assumed this meant patterned paper (delete my entry if I'm wrong), and I used four different papers.

Jacob is 5! Layout

After starting this layout on Saturday, I ran out of steam and didn't touch it on Sunday, but I finally managed to finish it up today by adding fibers to the tags, stamping the title, and finding some cute embellishments that went with our buddy Jacob's favorite things when he was 5. I had only used the alphabet stamp set for the title three times since I bought it in 2012, so I am glad I pulled it out and gave it some love!

Recipe:
Hero Alphabet & Starter Alphabet stamp sets
Dream Maker, Fresh Paint, Pumpkin Spice, Skylark, Something Fierce & Sweet Safari papers
Capri cardstock
Sunny Yellow, Peach, Poppy, Glacier, Capri, Lagoon & Bluebird ink
Fineliner pen (iBayam)
Baker's twine
Spring Harmony Sassy Strands
White Acrylic hearts
Blue's Clues, Cars & Spiderman stickers (Sandylion)
Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge: tags
Pattern: Posted on Scrapbook.com, unknown origin

Challenges: Heart's Quest Celebration of Love #5 - celebrated the birthday of a little guy we love a lot!; Neglected Stuff May Challenge - I used the title stamp set from 2012, and the stickers (paw print, car, Spiderman) are from 2004-2008; Colorful Options Star Wars Day color palette - my red is a little too dark but I tried to get the colors as close as possible!

Disney on Ice Layout

National Scrapbook Day is tomorrow, so I made a deal with my hubby that I get to scrapbook all weekend, starting today, and he would take care of everything around the house - woohoo! A fellow scrapper recommended checking out the NSD challenges on A Cherry on Top, so I am going to complete as many as possible, starting with this sketch challenge from Janet (see the sketch below). I liberated a Frozen sticker book from my daughter when I found it languishing under her bed, and since she is now 17 and no longer interested in Frozen, it was a great find to add to my layout, along with some super old paper strips from a Creative Memories Short Cuts Pack (anyone remember those?) and a few stamps. I usually take days to create a layout, so I love that I finished this one in just three hours!

Recipe:
January Word Puzzle (2009) & Cherish the Day (2013) stamp sets
Short Cuts papers (CM)
Raspberry & White Daisy cardstock
Rasberry, Journey & Versamark ink
Fineliner pens (iBayam)
White gel pen (Sakura)

Scalloped border punch (Fiskars)

Pattern: A Cherry on Top NSD - Janet's Friday Sketch challenge (not sure where she got it)

Challenges: Retro Rubber Challenges #253 Tic Tac Toe board - I used the middle column with die cuts/punches + flowers + sequins/gems. My stamps are from 2009 snowflakes) and 2013 (ticket)

Capture It All Layout

I decided to finish up a few more layouts for my son's elementary school album, so here is one of a Halloween celebration where the kids dressed up as famous figures. They also decorated their classroom door with kites they had made, so I stamped diamond shapes on the orange cardstock to tie that in with the costume parade. My colors aren't quite traditional Halloween colors, but seemed right for a school page. Hope you agree!

Recipe:
Geometric Backgrounds stamp set
March - April 2021 Mix In papers
Bluebird, Canary, Nectarine & Kraft cardstock
Bluebird, Canary, Nectarine & Candy Apple ink
Bold & Bright Thickers (American Crafts)
Field Trip ephemera (American Crafts)
Top Dog Shape Sprinkles - tiny stars (Doodlebug Designs)
Sunbeam embossing folder
Circle Double Stitched steel die (Art Impressions)
Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge: stars
Pattern: Splitcoast Stampers Sketch15April1

Challenges: Color My Heart Color Dare #649 - I managed to get all the colors in, although my purple (on the journaling spot) is a little dark.
