Fun & Games Layout

My old church used to have occasional game nights, so my hubby snapped a few photos at one of them. The level of expertise varied a lot from person to person, but we always had a great time! February seems to be hidden journaling month, because this is my third layout with hidden journaling. This time the top photo lifts up to reveal more photos and the journaling.

Here's the journaling spot:

Fall 2014 Layout

I don't have much call for falling leaves layouts here in Southern California (palm trees don't lose their leaves - LOL!), so my supply of fall themed paper and embellishments is quite small. I had to deep dive into my stash to find some leaf paper scraps to use on this fall themed layout. Even though there aren't any leaves on them, the photos were all taken in fall, so that inspired my title. I also tried a little mixed media on this layout, with stamping, paints, and embossing. It's not my forte, but hopefully it looks okay!
Recipe:
November Word Puzzle, Diverse Backgrounds & Canvas Art Workshop stamp sets
Leaf paper (from my stash)
Almond cardstock
Vellum
Barn Red, Cashmere, Saddle & Versamark ink
Gold embossing powder
Fall Leaves Accessory Kit (Amscan)
Chocolate Brown leather stickers (All My Memories)
Anita's earth Brown acrylic paint
Mocha Opaques pearls
Pattern: EMS Sketch 62
Challenges: The Paper Girls #188 family theme (since my photos were already family themed, I was inspired to dig out the tiny "Family Fun" stamp and use it on this layout); The Studio Challenges mood board inspiration (I was inspired by the fall color scheme, the leaves, the gold embossed book cover, and the texture of the brown sweater)

Gingerbread Houses Layout

I loved the creativity that went into planning a gingerbread house-making event to which my kids were invited, so I tried to get just as creative on the layout. First, I chose two single page sketches and combined them to create a double page spread. Then I dug through my sash of Christmas papers to find the right match for the photos, especially that violently bright green tablecloth! Then I kept adding bits and pieces to tie the two sides of the layout together, since they don't overlap in any way. This layout was lots of fun to put together, so hopefully you like the end result!

The Pond Gardens Layout

Still scrapbooking the gardens at Hampton Court Palace. I've been experimenting with my new Cricut Explore Air 2 and Design Space, and was able to weld a title together thanks to assistance from my SCS friend Joyce Ann! It came out smaller than I expected even though I measured ahead of time, but I love the font and am going to continue to work on doing fancier things as I go along.
