H Is For Happy Layout for Lasting Memories #674

It's time for our last October challenge over at Lasting Memories, and  Maureen challenged us to create a Celebration themed layout (Christmas, New Years, Easter, or Birthday), so I grabbed some photos from my son's birthday party at Scandia - a local amusement park - and pulled together this layout. The month is almost over, so please hurry over to Lasting Memories to play along with this or any of our other October challenge!

This layout will have a facing photo storage page, so here are a few of the other fun things the kids did!

Hello Easter Layout for Lasting Memories #673

The latest Lasting Memories challenge is posted, and it's one that is probably dear to every scrapbooker's heart: use new scrapbooking supplies! Yes, that's right, whether you just purchased something recently or are looking for a good excuse to go shopping, pull that new product out of the package and get to work (or play, depending on your point of view). I chose some papers from CTMH's Dream Maker paper pack that I had purchased in May but never used because I was looking for just the right layout to start with. This one was it, and I love how the beautiful papers enhance my photos. You have until November 4th to play along with any of this month's challenges from Lasting Memories: hope to see you over there!

Its All Good Layout for Lasting Memories #664

My scrappy mojo is slowly returning, so I whipped up a layout for Lasting Memories Challenge #664 using the sketch picked out by Design Team member Lori. I had two photos of the cupcakes I decorated for my daughter's cat party showing the very rough design and the much better final design of the cupcakes, so I used them with some cat themed papers and embellishments. If you would like to join in the fun over at Lasting Memories for this or any of our other sketches, click on the link above to see the sketches and link up your layouts by September 2nd.

The sketch:

March Madness Layout

August has been a busy month for me with a family vacation and getting ready for another year of homeschooling, so I have had a hard time getting creative with my scrapbooking. The same photos have been lying on my desk for several weeks, waiting to be scrapped, but I finally found some mojo this week thanks to a few scrappy challenges, so here is my layout at last! Fittingly, the title reflects the topic of the layout: the busyness of March 2017.

All the butterflies and some of the flowers started out white, and since I had lots of fun coloring them, I wanted to share a few extra shots of them so you can see how pretty the colors are:

Recipe:
Laughing Lola, Splendor & March/April Mix-Ins paper packs
Goldrush, Thistle cardstock
Goldrush, Thistle, Topiary & Whisper ink

Pattern: Rochelle Spears August 2023 sketch

{You} Made It Layout

To scrap these photos of a friend's new baby, I played along with several challenges, including the Heart's Quest challenge to use hearts and a congratulations theme. The song lyrics, "Looks like we made it" kept running through my mind, so I shortened and adapted it to {You} Made It, with a special note of congratulations to the new parents as my journaling.

Parents' and baby's names blanked out to protect privacy.

March/April 2022 Mix-In & Skylark papers
Sage, Toffee, Chocolate & White Daisy cardstock

Offline Fun Layout for Lasting Memories #660

Welcome to a new week and a new challenge from Lasting Memories. It's the last one this month, so you only have a week left to play with any of the July challenges. I hope you are inspired and play along. In line with her "Things Learned in Preschool" theme, this time Brandi asked us to select any group of 3 consecutive letters (ABC or LMN, etc.) and use an item on our layout for each letter, plus use 1, 2 and 3 of an item.  There was so much scope with the whole alphabet to play with, but I still ended up using letters right at the beginning. Here's my list and my layout:

B - Blue skies and Brushed paper packs
C - circles and chipboard alphas
D - die-cuts
1 - sticker and bow
2 - word phrases
3 - butterflies

Recipe (all supplies CTMH except where noted):
Bee Mine stamp set
Blue Skies & Brushed papers
Candy Apple, Canary & White Daisy cardstock
Candy Apple, Canary, Flamingo, Lagoon, Green Apple & Black ink
Black & Buttercup markers

DE Chipboard F,U,N
Maize grosgrain ribbon (Offray)
Star Dust Stickles (Ranger)
Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge: butterflies, tag
Pattern: EMS Sketch Challenge #10 (using this again for the 5 for 5 challenge over at Scrapbook.com)
