LOAD #27 - Dinner Prep

My parents' church sponsored a community dinner this year for Thanksgiving, and since we were visiting my parents for the week, we got to pitch in and help. Both my mom and sister were wearing blue shirts, but I am a little tired of that color right now (my kids don't seem to wear anything else, but I guess that's my fault since I purchase their clothes), so I decided to try emphasizing some of the other colors in the photos. I couldn't find the perfect B&T paper in my stash, so I decided to create some using my stamps. Recipe Box was a natural choice for a food-oriented layout, and I haven't used Intrinsic Backgrounds much, so I thought I would try that out as well. The buttons and journaling placement are pretty much a direct scraplift from the layout in Imagine.

Recipe:
Friendship Alphabet Large, Recipe Box, Intrinsic Backgrounds & Say It In Style stamp sets
Bamboo, Garden Green & Brown Bag cardstock
Brown Bag, Chocolate, Garden Green & Olive ink
Chocolate marker
Garden Green My Accents
Olive Embroidery Floss

Okay...I am officially caught up! Although it is almost 2:00am my time...

This one is TOTALLY cheating. I used "Let's Get Together" simply snapshots with "Lazy Days of Summer" stickease. I wanted to focus on all the fabulous blue in the photos, but none my papers really worked with it...I think the accents of breeze in this pp worked well enough.

Opinion question: Is it okay to have that much of the 'journaling spots' empty? (including the lady bug jar?) I did add 3 black bity brads vertically to the top left and horizontally to the bottom right, after I took this photo, which I think helped a bit...

These are 2 potty training layouts. My upline gave me the potty training paper and the layouts are from the 52 weeks 52 sketches.

Thanks for the hint about that Cheryl. I scrapped so long the other day that I needed some fresh layouts to look at!

Monica,
I think whatever you are happy with is what is ok! I think it looks great!

Monica, your layout looks fine the way it is. The only thing I could think to add would be a ladybug escaping from the jar and flying away up the page, but it's not necessary.

Linda, I think you posted the wrong layout. The pictures look pretty public for potty training!

Let's try that again!

Can you tell I was tired when I was doing that?

The right page is actually a pocket page (CM).
